Artificial pitches are “low maintenance” not “no maintenance”.
Whereas natural turf will grow and repair itself, repairs to artificial turf can be expensive, and it is imperative to establish a regular maintenance regime from installation. Regular brushing is definitely the key, complemented by collecting surface debris before it becomes unsightly or contaminates the fibres.
With this in mind, SISIS and TigerTurf - Number 1 in the UK for synthetic turf production - have formed an informal "partnership".
TigerTurf manufacture artificial grass for Football, Rugby, Hockey, Tennis, Multi-Use and Landscape applications, and is the only FIFA licensed manufacturer in the UK. TigerTurf are keen to ensure that their synthetic pitches are well maintained, to give optimum performance and to prolong their lifespan. TigerTurf will therefore supply SISIS machinery as part of the installation package, and recommend SISIS machinery to existing customers. SISIS will handle demonstrations and provide after-sales support.
Steve Hewitt, Sales and Marketing Director of TigerTurf said "Regular and good quality maintenance is imperative to ensuring artificial grass gives optimum performance and stays looking at its best. We offer our customers guidance and support when choosing their carpet and now we can do the same for their maintenance equipment. We are delighted to be working with SISIS and hope that the relationship will add value to our business and our customers."
SISIS Sales Director, David Harrison, added "We have supplied equipment to TigerTurf and their distributors for several years and have maintained a good working relationship throughout. We believe that our new "partnership" agreement endorses the SISIS product for synthetic turf maintenance and we look forward to using the relationship to further develop our product range in this specific field."
The two main SISIS products to be supplied by TigerTurf will be the SISIS ROSCA ride-on brushing system and the SISIS SSS/1000 sweeper. SISIS can also offer a wide range of other tractor-mounted maintenance machinery if preferred.
