Hayter to launch new small triple

MT313 release1.jpg

Excellent traction is achieved with a unique transmission system which ensures drive to a minimum of two wheels at all times. The three interchangeable cutting units are also powered hydraulically through direct drive motors. The standard machine is supplied with single lift control for raising and lowering all units simultaneously. Individual lift for each unit is available as an option. All controls are easily accessible with the simple yet functional instrument panel being clearly visible from the operating position.

Designed for a variety of applications there are a number of options available including a flashing beacon, working lights, 2 post ROPS frame, grass catchers and arm rests. Also available are a choice of cutting unit configurations suitable for golf, amenity and municipal use.

Hayter have a reputation for designing and building machines with high output and low maintenance costs which are comfortable to operate and simple to maintain. The MT313 builds on those traditions and doesn't just follow them. The seating position gives the operator maximum comfort and excellent visibility to both the cutting units and drive wheels. The operating platform can be raised for routine maintenance and the centre unit; always the most difficult to maintain and adjust, swings out from under the chassis for easy access. These features are unique to a machine of this type.

The MT313 will go in to limited production in the spring of this year with full production starting at the end of 2004.

Hayter appoint more dealers

Thistle Plant release1.jpg

Covering the Glasgow area and the West coast of Scotland from Dumfries and Galloway to Argyle and Bute are Thistle Groundcare. The company has been in existence for a short while only but the joint owners; John Yates and Bill Harvey have between them, many years experience in the commercial groundscare market. The new company is centrally located in Airdrie which is ideally placed to cover such a large area.

Radmore and Tucker, one of the best known names in the industry, have been appointed to cover the County of Devon. Radmore and Tucker, based in Exeter, are widely known for their consumer and distribution business but have also been involved in commercial groundscare for a number of years. Managing Director John Tucker and Commercial Sales Manager Alen Drew will be heading up the enlarged commercial division.

David Sturges, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayter commented. "We are delighted that these two companies, very different in their backgrounds but both with ambitious plans for the future, will be representing us. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find committed dealers like these who can respond to the ever increasing demands of the commercial customer."

Hayter introduce a range of high quality hand-held products

The Maruyama 2-stroke engines, common to the new Hayter range, include easy starting systems and electronic ignition. Two models include a unique "Reverse Start" system operated through the recoil starter. Instead of using a conventional recoil system, the starter rope is pulled out slowly to tension a coil spring. The engine is then started as the rope returns into the recoil housing. This method requires considerably less effort from the operator.

There are four brush cutters ranging from a light weight curved shaft model with a 22.5 cc engine to a heavy duty commercial specification straight shaft version with a 41.5 cc engine, offset horn handle and heavy duty gear case. The three straight shaft models include a 4 tooth blade attachment. All models are fitted with a damper system designed to minimise both high and low frequency vibration.

The two 22.5 cc hedge trimmers each feature induction hardened chrome steel blades, polish ground and sharpened on all three cutting surfaces to ensure a clean cut. Both the single 730 mm blade model and the double 600 mm blade version include a long life clutch and heavy duty gearbox. The double blade model is fitted with a 5 position rotating handle for easy operation at all angles.

The range is completed by two 22.5 cc extended reach hedge trimmers. These allow the operator to work on high or wide hedges while their feet remain firmly on the ground. The 400 mm double blade cutter bar can be adjusted from an angle of -45 degrees to + 90 degrees, converting quickly to suit the task in hand. Two shaft lengths are available - 723 mm and 1450 mm.

David Sturges, Sales and Marketing Director for Hayter said. "As with all our commercial products these new machines are built to the highest specification and supported by an after sales service that is second to none. We are confident that they will soon become the first choice of many commercial users looking for these types of products."
